I am proud to welcome you to our delightful school. The children at Chandag Junior School are at the very heart of everything we do and our pedagogical approach is rooted in our passionately-held values which underpin our work with them every day. We believe our children flourish because we focus on exciting a desire to learn from every experience and we know that life-long achievement is a balance between emotional, social and academic success.
Values and ethos statement:
Our ‘Golden Values’ are a set of consistent principles that reflect common human decency and good citizenship, which align the ‘moral compass’ of every child and adult in our delightful school. This civilised guide enables us to confidently navigate the British and global societies in which we live, and be respectful, responsible and trustworthy citizens with true integrity.
Our aim is to establish the highest standards of behaviour possible to facilitate positive learning and attitudes for our pupils within an environment which reflects this. As such, we strive to make Chandag Junior School a safe and happy place which is welcoming, caring and supportive to enable positive learning experiences for all, and for our pupils to flourish personally, socially, and academically.
Vision & mission statement:
We aim to achieve excellence in teaching and learning in order to ensure that each child achieves their full potential. We do this by exciting a desire to learn and by responding in a way that delights and inspires the learner.

Chandag Junior School is part of the Futura Learning Partnership, which is made up of 13 schools who work together to provide exceptional learning opportunities for more than 5,500 children and young people aged two to 19. We have more than 800 staff, whose success and wellbeing is a high priority for us.
We started out in 2014 and have grown to take in primary, secondary and special schools in Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bristol. This means we can truly say our schools are rooted in their communities, while benefiting from being part of a wider, outward-looking Trust.
